Welcome to the East Central Alabama Young Marines website. We are based out of the Calhoun County Civil Defense Building (4510 Bynum Leatherwood Road Anniston, AL 36206) Our meetings and Drills are held at the Jacksonville Community Center ( 501 Alexandria Rd SW, Jacksonville, AL. 36265) on 2 Saturdays of the month at 0830 to 1200 unless instructed otherwise. The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, ages 8 through completion of high school. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership, and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines is the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps' youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts.

The Young Marines are not a recruiting tool for the United States Marine Corps. This is a nonprofit youth education and service program for kids ages 8 through the completion of high school. We teach discipline, leadership, and teamwork. Values that make the individual Young Marine the success that he/she is. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members.

The ECA Young Marines have been honored to have revived multiple awards for Unit of the Year and a Marine Corps League Commendation from the Allan Ray Chaffin Det. 1329. Along with multiple others from national to local awards.
